Who's Who in the Cast

Ross Bloedorn (Jack Kelly)

Ross is super excited to be part of the OSF family! After this, Ross will be moving to New York City to be part of the ever-growing community there. Past credits include Contstantine(Big Love), Gaston(Beauty and The Beast), Carl-Magnus(A Little Night Music), Wilber Wright(First in Flight!) and Edgar(King Lear).

Bailey Bryant (Newsie)

Bailey Bryant is 17 year old Durant native. She takes dance lessons during the school year with the After School Program. She has been dancing for a collective 10 years. She is excited for her second year in Young Actors Studio. She will be a Newsie this years production.

Avery Burkhart (Newsie)

Avery Burkhart is making her theatrical debut in Disney's Newsies. She is currently under the dance instruction of Meagan Jorgensen, Julie Henderson. and Kassie Gregg. She has also trained under the instructors Kim McSwain, Desmond Richardson, and Ilona Nogarr. Avery has been accepted into many dance intensives and programs such as Complexions Intensive, Joffrey Intensive and Trainee Program, and CLI Trainee Program. She has received scholarships to The One Dance Intensive, DancerPalooza, Power Pak, Nexstar National Talent Competition, Joffrey Trainee Scholarship, and an Intrigue Convention Scholarship, and an Intrigue Convention Scholarship. Avery is also a regional dance competition champion at Stage One, Starpower, and Nexstar.

Tyler Campbell (Morris Delancy)

Tyler Campbell is from Durant, Oklahoma. He is a junior at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He is pursuing a major in Acting/Directing with a minor in Communications. Some of his favorite roles have been Mr. Laurence in Little Women and Slank in Peter and the Starcatcher.

Kyle Clements (Newsie)

 

Kyle Michael Stuart Clements is a 9 th grader and the son of Michael and

Deborah Clements, and the bother of Aaron and Heather Rains. This

marks his 10 th season in OSF productions. His favorite role to date is

Lumiere in the children’s theatre’s production of The Beauty and the

Beast. Kyle is involved with the OSF after-school program, and recently

he was in the cast of Who Killed Aunt Caroline at Victory Life Academy

and Peter Pan at the Maranatha Music and Drama Camp in Wisconsin.

Kyle loves to sing, dance, and play with his dogs. His future plans change

daily and he is more than happy to share them with anyone who will

listen.

Caleb Curtis (Crutchie)

Caleb Curtis is a recent graduate of Indiana University with a bachelors in Theatre and Drama with a focus in acting and directing. He is thrilled to be making his OSF debut! In Indiana, Caleb has appeared at both Cardinal Stage Company and the Jewish Theatre of Bloomington. For IU Theatre, Caleb's favorites include Streamers, Noises Off, Titus Andronicus, Peter and the Starcatcher, Humble Boy, Machinal, and Antigone. Caleb hails from Fort Wayne, Indiana. 

Trista Davidson (Newsie)

Trista Davidson is an incoming freshman at Southeastern, where she will double-major in musical theatre and acting with a minor in dance. Some of her favorite roles include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Gertrude in Suessical, dance team in White Christmas, the bird lady and a chimney sweep in Mary Poppins, and many more. She has been dancing/performing most of her life and plans to do so “for the rest of my days”.  She will be working hard to make her way to Hollywood or Broadway!

Antavius Draughn (Oscar Delancy)

Antavius Draughn attends Southeastern Oklahoma State University and is currently a Senior. He enjoys acting,singing, and dancing very much and hopes to become a big star one day. He is enjoying his time being at SOSU and he quotes “Being here has help me become a better actor,singer, and dancer than I was ever before."

Kelly Franklin (Medda Larkin/Nun)

 

Kelly Lynn Smith Franklin was born on March 19, 1996 and is a Durant native. She’s been in many productions including but not limited to Cinderella, Medea, Henry V, Shrek the Musical and Taming of the Shrew. This is her 5th year with OSF and she is looking forward to many more

Chloe Henderson (Newsie)

Chloe Henderson is the 13 year old daughter of Willy and Julie Henderson of Durant.  Chloe is a competitive dancer with Durant's Axis Dance Co where she has recieved a number of awards both regionally and nationally along with tuition scholarships for Hollywood Vibe Dance Convention and  Stage One Dance Productions. This season Chloe can be seen in the children's theatre production of Peter Pan followed by her performance as James in the young actor's studio production of James and the Giant Peach, and as a dancing Newsie in the OSF production of Disney's Newsies!  Her favorite roles have been playing Ariel in the Children's Theatre 2015 production of The Little Mermaid along with playing Pumbaa in 2017's The Lion King. Chloe is excited to be back for her 10th season with OSF!

Luke Hearon (Ensemble)

Luke Hearon is a freshman in Southeastern Oklahoma State University, as an Art and Graphic Design major. In addition to this, he has pursued acting at this school for the past 11 years in OSF, and had been in shows professionally for 6 years. OSF has been a big part of his life, and sees the people here as a family. His pursuit for the fine arts is what motivates him to continue acting and making memories with this cast and company.

Christopher Hicks (Newsie)

Christopher is a senior at Durant High School where he has been a part of shows such as Shrek, Mary Poppins, Oklahoma, Beauty and the Beast and White Christmas.  He has also been very active in his High School choir and band, from the District to National levels!  He is very excited to make his OSF debut this summer!

Benjamin Hild (Romeo/Henry/Spot Conlon)

 

Benjamin is thrilled to be joining the OSF Company for the first time this summer! A recent Oklahoma City University; Vocal Performance graduate, he currently calls Clearwater, Florida home. Credits include L’Amico Fritz (Federico), On The Town (Police/ Sailor), Evita (Ensemble), and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Mr.Twimble). Many thanks to the family, friends, and teachers who are consistently loving and supportive.

Adrian Hobbs (Wiesel/Stage Manager/Mayor)

Adrian Hobbs is excited to be joining the Oklahoma Shakespeare Festival for the first time!  He is currently studying Theatre at Southeastern Oklahoma State University with an emphasis in Acting/Directing.  Previous acting credits include Titus Andronicus from William Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus, Malvolio from Twelfth Night, Aeneas Posket from Arthur Wing Pinero’s The Magistrate and many more.  He is excited to finish his Bachelor of Arts degree in the spring of 2020 and pursue his career in educational theatre.

Sarah Jackson (Elmer)

Sarah Jackson is thrilled to be back to celebrate OSF this summer. She is a recent graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University and plans on going to get her Masters in the fall at Texas Tech. Some of her favorite roles have been Jo March in Little Women, Molly in Peter and the Starcatcher, and Heart/Ophelia in Hamlet: The Time is Out of Joint. She enjoys chocolate and watching movies with her husband, Charles. Please enjoy the show!

Megan Jorgensen (Newsie)

 Meagan received a Bachelor of Science in Dance Management at the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment at Oklahoma City University. While at OCU, Meagan was a member of the American Spirit Dance Company. 

Meagan is the owner of Axis Dance Co, in Durant. Her students have been accepted into arts programs at universities across the country, as well as elite dance training programs, such as Joffrey. They have won numerous scholarships and awards, including, Division Championships, Technical Excellence Awards, and the Competitive Spirit Award. Meagan has also received multiple Choreography Awards for her work. 

Anna Rose Kelly (Bowery Beauty/ Nun/ Newsie)

   Anna Rose Kelly is a senior Bachelor of Arts major at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She has been studying music for twelve years, having backgrounds in both vocal and instrumental music, opera and music theater.

   Ms. Kelly has been a member of the University’s elite touring vocal ensemble, the Southeastern Chorale. Under the direction of Dr. Stacy Weger, she has performed as the featured soloist throughout the South-east region. Ms. Kelly was also featured as the alto soloist in Bach’s Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit, BWV 106.

     Ms. Kelly's opera and music theater experience includes the roles of Mrs. Pearce and Ms. Higgins in My Fair Lady, Amy March in Little Women, Mother in Handsel unt Gretel. She has also carried supporting roles and chorus parts in Les Misérables, The Taming of the Shrew, The Greatest Showman: A Tribute Show, and Gallantry: An American Soap Opera. Most recently, Ms. Kelly portrayed Luisa in SOSU's production of The Fantasticks.

Hannah McDonald (Bunsen/Newsie)

Hannah J. McDonald is a BFA Musical Theatre student at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. A 2018 Durant honor graduate, Hannah J. has brought life to the stage in stories of both, Much Ado About Nothing and Annie Get Your Gun during her first year at Liberty. She has taken musical theatre master classes in NYC and DFW. Not only is she performing at OSF this summer, Hannah J. is also the director of Axis Dance Co’s Summer Camps and is teaching the 3Threat Intensive. In addition to theatre and academics, HJ enjoys traveling and eating sweets.

Courtney Miles (Ike/ Woman)

Courtney Miles is excited to be working for OSF for her third summer in a row! She could recently have been seen as Miss Watson in Big River, Charity Barnum in The Greatest Showman pre-season performance, or having fun as a group leader for Alice in Wonderland. She recently became a proud graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University and will be starting her first teaching job in the fall.

Graeme Morrison (Finch/Bill)

Graeme is a Durant native and a  junior Music Theatre major at the University of Central Oklahoma. There he studies voice with Dr. Barbara Fox DeMaio and hopes to graduate with two degrees. He has worked most recently with City Repertory Theatre – an Actor’s Equity theatre – in their production of Hair, as well as serving as their Vocal Captain. Some of Graeme’s favorite credits are: Thoroughly Modern Millie, Chicago, Man of La Mancha(University of Central Oklahoma); My Fair Lady(Edmond Summerstock); and, of course, Hair(City Repertory Theatre). He is ecstatic to be home and performing with this year’s incredible troupe.

Carter Owen (Joesph Pulitzer)

Carter Owen is a current student at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and is entering his senior year this upcoming Fall Semester. This is his third year being with OSF, with many more to come. Carter has played several roles in his career, including: Cinderella’s Prince from Into the Woods, Freddy from My Fair Lady, Professor Bhaer from Little Woman, The Duke from Big River, Aeneas from Dido and Aeneas, El Gallo/Narrator from The Fantasticks, Jafar from Aladdin Jr., and Pulitzer for Newsies. 
 

Jennifer Rizzo (Bowery Beauty/Newsie)

Jennifer Rizzo is a Durant native with a Bachelor's degree from Southeastern.  She is a dance instructor at SE, office manager and dance instructor with OSF's After School Program, Young Actors Studio choreographer and Personal Assistant to the fabulous Riley Risso-Coker. Jennifer is married to the love of her life and has an adorable little boy.  This is her 14th season with OSF and she will be in the production of Newsies as a Newsie and Bowery Beauty. Happy 40th Season OSF!!!

Colton Russell (Ensemble)

Curtis Colton Russell is a Graduate of SOSU with a degree in Biological Health Sciences & minors in the fields of Chemistry Theatre & Dance. He is Very excited to be back for his 6th season! Some past show credits include: The Drowsy Chaperone as Underling, Tony & Tina’s Wedding as Michael, Disney’s The Lion King as Rafiki, Shrek the Musical as Mad Hatter, a Tribute to a WonderWoman as Ares, A Midsummer Nights Dream as Eugeus, the Greatest showman as Philo Barnum / Tall Man and Disney’s Aladdin as Sultan, all with the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival.

Jarrett Self (Davey Jacobs)

Jarrett Self graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2017 with a BA in Musical Theatre. His favorite credits while attending include Jason in Euripides’ Medea, Frederick Frankenstein in Young Frankenstein, and Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady. Favorite professional credits include Malcolm/Porter in Macbeth, Gangster #1 in The Drowsy Chaperone, King in Big River, and Tranio in The Taming of the Shrew, all with the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, Jinx in Forever Plaid, and Fred in A Christmas Carol, both with Granbury Theatre Company, and multiple touring productions with the National Theatre for Children.

Lauren Sherrer (Newsie)

 

Lauren Sherrer, daughter of Danny and Sarah Sherrer, is a Durant native. She began performing at an early age and has been involved in OSF’s Children’s Theatre and Young Actor’s Studio productions. Lauren has danced since the age of two; she studies ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary styles under the direction of Riley Risso Coker and Jennifer Rizzo. She is currently a sophomore at Durant High School, where she is a member of the Sparklers, Varsity Mixed Choir, and performs in DISD Choir productions. She aspires to one day become a lawyer, congresswoman, or Rockette (or maybe even all three).

Dalton Smith (Snyder)

Dalton Smith - Is a senior at SOSU studying lighting and sound design with a double major in Acting and directing. He had been in Multiple SOSU productions including #woke and Alf in Peter and the Starcatcher.

Angel Somarriba (Albert)

Angel is a DFW Based actor.  Originally from the Bronx, New York.  He is really excited to be here!  His previous credits include: Diego De La Vega/Zorro/Ramon in Zorro The Musical, Prince Eric in the Little Mermaid, Finch in Newsies.

Morgan Lynn Sterrett (Katherine Plummer)

 

Morgan is thrilled to be joining the OSF Company for the first time this summer! A recent Kansas State University Theatre graduate, she currently calls Kansas City home. Credits include The Rocky Horror Show (Janet), Into The Woods (Little Red), As You Like It (Celia), CATS (Rumpleteazer/Jemima), and last April she had the great honor of performing at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. James Stout (Specs/ Darcy)

James Stout is a Junior at Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he has played Roles such as Ted in Peter and The Starcatcher and Rodrigo in Little Women. This is his third year as a part of the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival Company and he is very excited to pursue his craft and further his education!

Jonas Swope (Newsie)

Jonas Swope is currently a Freshman at Durant High School, where previously he worked on a production of Beauty and the Beast.  He is excited to appear onstage for his first summer with OSF!

Cody Talkie (Race)

Cody Talkie is a 2017 graduate of North Central college with degrees in Musical Theatre and Theatre Performance. He has most recently been seen in Greenhouse Theater Center's production of Machinal, and The Other Theatre Company's production of Barney the Elf. Some of his favorite collegiate credits include: Orin Scrivello, D.D.S. (Little Shop of Horrors) and Giuseppe (The Light in the Piazza). Cody is elated to be performing on the OSF stage for the first time!

Allyson Thomas (Nun/Hannah)

    Allyson is a returning member of the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival and was involved in the children’s shows as a child. Allyson just received a degree in Vocal Music Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and she will be working in the Norman Public School District this coming fall. Her past credits include Big River, Cinderella, Henry V, Macbeth, The Drowsy Chaperone, Legally Blonde the Musical, A Midsummers Night Dream, Shrek the Musical and Young Frankenstein the Musical.

Sage Waddell (Newsie)

Sage is a 17 year old soon-to-be senior at Rock Creek High School. She was born in California  and at the age of 5 has signed with LA Model and LA Talent. At 10 years old she was asked to spend a week at the "The Art Studio in Westminster, CA". She then moved to Durant, Oklahoma and was introduced back into acting with OSF and has been included since.

Isabella Walters (Newsie)        

Isabella is excited to be in her first mainstage musical with OSF!    She has been training in dance, acro, acting, and musical theatre since age 3 and has studied under amazing teachers at Axis Dance Co, OSF’s Afterschool Program, and Unstoppable Gymnastics. For the past 4 years Bella has been dancing competitively with Axis Dance Co. and loves being part of the team. You may have seen her in Southeastern’s production of Dance of the Dragon and as Wendy in OSF’s  Children’s Theatre Workshop Production of Peter Pan. Isabella is thrilled to be a part of Newsies and hopes you enjoy the show!

Ayden Williams (Les Jacobs)

Ayden was born in Bloomington, Indiana and moved to Durant in 2014. In the summer of 2016 he discovered his love of acting when he was cast as Maurice, Belle’s father in the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival’s children’s theater production of Beauty & the Beast at the age of 7. Since his first role he has participated in six productions with the children’s theater and also the professional cast with OSF, sometimes taking on more than one role per production. When he is not in the theater, he also enjoys RC racing with his family and helping around the family farm.

Housed on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma, OSF is a theatre company that produces multiple theatre productions every summer, as well as provides theatre classes during the school year.​
